In 1980 when, as a Mother of two, I was re-entering the work force and thought with my experience I could certainly apply for a position as a housekeeper or a childcare provider. To my surprise I found myself accepting the position of Receptionist at the very agency I had applied to.

As a Receptionist in a household placement agency, I was soon was promoted to Placement Counselor, Manager and then General Manager of a group of domestic agencies. I have placed candidates throughout the United States in both the private and corporate sector.  By holding these various positions from 1980 to 2005, I developed specific skills to best match applicant and client.  I placed candidates in positions ranging from Baby Nurses, Butlers, Caretakers, Chauffeurs, Chefs, Companions, Cooks, Couples, Dayworkers, Estate and Property Managers, Housekeepers, Valet, Houseman, Laundresses, Nannies, Party Servers and Bartenders, Yacht staff, Personal Assistants,  and in the Corporate sector, Chauffeurs, Chefs, Dining Staff and  Housekeepers.

In May of 2005, my vision, my dream became a reality. Colombo Domestics, LLC, in Darien, Connecticut was officially opened. My promise to my clients and applicants is to provide the highest quality and standard of business practice. I have always been commended for my sincerity, honesty, loyalty, discretion, professionalism, dependability, strong work ethic and professional guidance.

Domestic employment requires a cooperative relationship between client and applicant. During my now 30 years, I have enjoyed many compliments for my ability to foster such relationships.
